Terms of Use

Terms of Use (Terms of Service) — Lyrio. Effective date and last updated: March 5, 2026.

This English text is a courtesy translation; the Portuguese version of these Terms is the one that legally governs and prevails in case of any discrepancy.

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Lyrio app for iOS ("Lyrio", "App", "Service"). By creating an account, installing or using Lyrio, you agree to these Terms.

1) Identification of the party responsible for the Service

2) Eligibility and use by minors

2.1. To create an account and purchase a subscription, the user must be 18 years of age or older.

2.2. Lyrio may be used on the devices of minors, provided that setup and supervision are carried out by a parent or legal guardian, who represents that they are authorized to apply controls on the device(s) under their care.

3) Description of the Service

3.1. Lyrio provides features intended to reduce exposure to sexual or explicitly inappropriate content by means of Apple Screen Time, including blocking and restrictions by app and by content category (as available on iOS and through Apple's APIs).

3.2. Lyrio is not an internet access service, does not operate as a DNS/VPN/Proxy in this version, and does not inspect the contents of internet traffic in order to apply blocks.

4) Technical limitations and absence of any guarantee of complete blocking

4.1. Lyrio is a best-effort tool. The user acknowledges that:

  • no parental control or restriction tool guarantees complete blocking;
  • false positives (blocking content or apps that are not inappropriate) and false negatives (failure to block a given piece of content or app) may occur;
  • operation depends on the iOS version, device configuration, permissions granted, third-party apps and changes made by the user.

4.2. Lyrio does not promise to fully prevent access to any and all sexual or explicit content, nor to entirely eliminate the risks associated with using the device and the internet.

5) Permissions and setup (Screen Time)

5.1. In order to operate, Lyrio requires permissions and setup through Screen Time.

5.2. You are responsible for:

  • granting the requested permissions;
  • keeping the protections active;
  • safeguarding passwords and passcodes (including the Screen Time passcode, where applicable);
  • not sharing credentials insecurely.

5.3. If the user disables permissions, removes profiles or configurations, resets settings, switches Apple accounts, restores the iPhone, or makes any change that affects Screen Time, the Service may not work.

6) Account, sign-in and security

6.1. Use of certain features may require an account and sign-in.

6.2. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity carried out through your account.

6.3. If you suspect any misuse, you must contact support immediately.

7) Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

  • evade, disable, interfere with or attempt to circumvent Lyrio/Screen Time restrictions;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source code (except where expressly permitted by law);
  • use Lyrio to monitor other people without authorization;
  • use the Service for unlawful activities;
  • resell, sublicense or commercially exploit Lyrio without written authorization.

8) Subscriptions, billing, cancellation and refunds (Apple)

8.1. Paid features may be offered through Apple In-App Purchase.

8.2. Prices, term, renewal, trial (if any) and conditions are presented in Apple's purchase flow.

8.3. Cancellation and subscription management must be carried out in your Apple ID settings.

8.4. Refunds are handled under Apple's policies, where applicable.

9) Intellectual property

9.1. Lyrio, its brand, logos, interface, texts, images, software and all other elements are owned by Blessed Byte or licensed to it.

9.2. The user is granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license for personal use and in accordance with these Terms.

10) Suspension and termination

10.1. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service in the event of a breach of these Terms, a security risk, fraud, abuse or a legal order.

10.2. You may stop using the App at any time. Account deletion may be requested through the privacy contact channels.

11) Disclaimers and limitations of liability

11.1. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available".

11.2. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, loss of data, lost profits, or for failures arising from:

  • limitations of iOS/Screen Time and of third parties;
  • changes made by the user on the device;
  • an inability to block a given piece of content or app;
  • misuse of the App.

11.3. Nothing in these Terms removes consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

12) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When the changes are material, we will let you know through the App and/or the e-mail address on file.

13) Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil.

The courts of the judicial district of Belo Horizonte/MG are elected as the venue, except where consumer protection rules require a different venue.
